Cut a strip of corrugated cardboard and staple its ends together to form a narrow ring. Cut another strip from corrugated cardboard. Apply glue and lay a piece of string on it — this will be the candle wick. Roll the strip into a tube and glue the end. Insert four toothpicks into the ring and place the candles on them. Cut a strip of green tissue paper and make small cuts along one side to create fringe. Wrap the cardboard ring with the prepared tissue paper. Cut out flames from yellow paper and color the centers if desired. Glue two flames onto each toothpick. Now you can “light” the candles one by one each week of Advent.
