Make a hole in the center of a paper plate using a stick. Cut two clock hands from decorative foam in different colors—one longer and one shorter. Pierce them with the stick as well. Thread a craft wire through the two holes of a button. Then pass the ends of the wire through the clock hands and through the hole in the clock face. Turn the clock over and thread the wire through the two holes of a second button. Finally, twist the wire and tuck its ends under the button.
Using a black marker, draw the tick marks: first at the top and bottom, then on the right and left sides, and next draw two marks between each of them. Write the numbers on the clock face. The hands attached this way are movable and safe for children. The finished clock works great for learning how to tell time.
