Ice Skates

Ice Skates

Cut a long strip of paper the width of a wooden craft stick and fold it in half. On the folded paper, draw the shape of a skate boot, remembering to add two small tabs at the sole along the fold. Cut out the whole shape without unfolding the paper.

Cover the tabs with aluminum foil. Wrap the wooden craft stick in foil as well so that it resembles the metal blade of a skate. Slide the prepared runner into the tabs and glue the boot together to secure the structure.

The finished piece can be decorated however you like, for example with torn pieces of aluminum foil. Color any additional details with crayons. Finally, use a hole punch to make holes in the upper part of the boot, thread a string through them, and tie it into a bow.
